I started to get ready for bed last night, while Reiko quickly cleaned out Snoopy's litterbox. She threw on her shoes and we both walked over to the "trash room" where the chute is to throw snoopy's bag of used kitty litter.

Both of us are kinda wary of the trash room. Which is a small, pitchblack, maybe 5 by 5 room with a chute door to throw trash down.

When Reiko opened the door, she SCREAMED at the top of her lungs and jumped, which scared the shit out of me, so I jumped....and let out a garbled yelp which could only be discribed as "Ahhhhghrt!"

Turns out someone was throwing away pieces of a fake christmas tree, and didn't feel the need to throw it down the chute, so it as a strange figure that she didn't expect to see when she opened the door.

We both laughed for about 10 mins afterwards....we're dorks.

-Scrubs is such a great show, I'm really sad that it's on its last season. (I missed last night! DOH! Hulu, please save me!)

-Are the Kings actually pushing for a playoff spot? Holy crapola.

-A-Rod is an asshole, but is it toally unexpected? Baseball is full spoiled little children getting paid too much money to play a game.

-Into the Wild was a decent movie (Thank you Netflix)

-Fable 2 for Xbox 360 has been very time consuming but great fun so far

-Another club hockey season is winding down....I hope to stick with my team for the next season, as they are mostly all great guys, and I think I've found a decent level of respect between everyone.

-I'm thinking of getting a new car in the not so distant future. Maybe a Honda Fit or a Mazda 3 Hatchback or maybe a Nissan Versa. Probably what I can get a a very decent price.

-I like the cold lately, I'm just not so into the rain as much.

-Movies that are comming up that excite me: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, Star Trek, The Watchmen, and Transformers 2...and probably GI Joe.

-I want to see The Wrestler....maybe I'll wait for it on Netflix though.

-Politics are driving me crazy lately.

-My SDSU Aztecs may get an auto bid into the NCAA Tourney this year...WOO HOO! If they do,, going 1 and Done is not an option!

Woke up with my lovely Reiko beside me (She actually slept in!).

Had some dark roast coffee and some eggs with some toast and turkey sausage.

Played a bit of NHL 09, and then took a shower/shaved.

Don't really know what I'm going to do now....do I want to go to Best Buy and waste money? I think Reiko and I are gonna go get a bagel sandwich from Manhattan Bagel and then maybe chill out a bit and watch the NHL Skills Competition for the NHL All Star Game.

EDIT:

Ended up making sandwiches with a demi baguette that Reiko got a whole foods. Turkey, spinach, mayo, mustard and pesto spread. Yum!

Now I think Reiko and I are gonna head to Best Buy...will I make it out without spending any money....we'll see.

I don't get smoking. I really don't.

There is a lady that caughs at my work (See also: COUNTLESS other update in my journal).

Why would someone do something to their body that forcibly makes their body reject. It's not a NATURAL thing to caugh. Her body is literally trying to get rid of all the shit that she put into it. She caughs all the time....like every 45 seconds. That's not healthy, that's not natural.

I've never had a smoking addiction....so maybe I don't get it.  But I'd get tired of caughing all the time

When I was a kid, I played Mike Tyson's Punch Out! for hours upon hours. I remember the first time I actually figgured out how to stop Bald Bull from kicking my ass, or how to dodge Super Macho Man's spinning hook... To this day, I still can't get to the end of that game.

Well, it looks like the Wii is gonna get another Punch Out!

((Note that you can literally punch the Croissants out of Glass Joe....what a pussy)).

Scrubs came back last night with 2 new episodes.

I'm such a big fan of the show and anything would have made me happy...but I didn't have polish a turd. The shows were both funny and yet, thought provoking. They made fun of the fact that they're on a new network, and that they've never won any awards.

Overall, I'm looking forward to the last bits of Scrubs....it's been a great run.

Oh, and 24 officially officially comes back this weekend with 2, two hour episodes...

Man, it's been a long time since I've seen Jack Bauer kill some Terrorists....

I'll culminate this post with a Jack Bauer fact...because it's been along time since I've had a chuckle reading them

" When life gave Jack Bauer lemons, he used them to kill terrorists. Jack Bauer fucking hates lemonade."

What can be said that hasn't already been said by a few others on my Live Journal circle of friends.

I'm deeply saddened by the passing of a friend of mine, and I will remember him fondly.

We do secret santa at my work.

Last year I got a pretty sweet Steelers fleece blanket.

This year I pulled a name of someone I work with who I'm not particularly fond of...but oh well. I figgured that the best thing for her would be a starbucks gifcard because I know that she likes starbucks

Easy enough huh?.

So we open the secret santa gifts today...and in a large bag is a starbucks gift card for me.  Turns out she pulled my name, and gave me the exact same thing..

funny

So I guess I broke even?

I had a strange realization today.

Are we all turning into Pirates?

With the economy in a free fall, I see more and more "INVEST IN GOLD!" and "CASH 4 GOLD!" commercials.

When did we all turn into pirates obsessed with gold?

(either pirates...or crazy prospectors
 )

when did it become the person who sits by the window's sole responsibility and choice to pull the shades or not letting light into our cubicle area?

I sit in cubicle hell, and I face the window area...and every morning, when the sun is comming into the area that I sit, the lady that sits right up next to the window closes the shades.

What the hell is up with that? How come she gets to dictate how much light comes in to the area that I sit?

She's already high on my shitlist anyway..she blasts country music, which is bad enough...but she sings to it...which is even worse.

Oh and she coughs incessantly...a byproduct from her quarter-hourly smoke breaks.
